Lani and I went to get our hair cut. I told the lady to make Lani's BELOW her shoulders and even pointed to the spot on her back. The stylist pointed to the same spot I did, as if she understood. Then my stylist was ready for me. So after we were both done, it was quite a shock to find Lani's hair so short. But I have to admit, it is cute and will be a fun, cool summer hair cut. Guess what dad decides to do the very next day? Shave his head! Let's just say, he likes it and that's all that matters ;-)

Rainforest Cafe

We took a last minute trip to the Grapvine Mills Mall. We had such a fun family day. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe, which Lani absolutely loved. Then we just walked around the mall and shopped and shopped. It was an awesome day!

Tooth Fairy is in Business

On Friday, April 8, our Lani lost her first tooth. She is growing up so fast. I kept saying "It's too soon isn't it?" Ha ha No one even knew her tooth was loose. There was one pickle left in the jar, so I asked Lani if she wanted it. On her last bite of pickle she tells us her tooth just came out. She is always joking with me, so I didn't believe her at first. I love that girl so very much!

Weekend with Zoey

We had the pleasure of Miss. Zoey staying with us this weekend. We had lots of fun. Saturday morning (or more like noon) we went down to the river to feed the ducks. It was such a gorgeous day out. Then we went over to MiMi's for some barbeque. Zoey was not scared of the four wheeler and hopped right on. I tried to take more pictures of her with Lani at the bridge but she wouldn't have it. She was too busy playing around lol.

Due October 12, 2011

Look how big our baby has grown, compared to two weeks ago. We had another good ultrasound. The heart was beating and there was even a little baby movement. The doctor went ahead and set my due date as October 12th since both ultrasounds confirmed that date with the size of the baby. Now we are on to normal once a month visits. We did find out at this visit that we will be doing more ultrasounds and monitoring of the heart rate due to my hypertension. He said he wouldn't say I'm high risk just at risk. I also get to sit around the house all day sunday and do a 24 hour urine test. Doesn't that sound like a load of fun? Lol They need a baseline for my protein levels for the future. All in all, we are very happy and know God has his hand on the baby and I.

First Doctor's Appointment

Well we had our first doctor's visit and first ultrasound this morning. When I first got there they had me empty my bladder. It took a while for the doctor to come in and we waited and waited. So when he tried to do the ultrasound he couldn't see anything cuz my bladder was full again. LOL I was a little embarrassed but if I hadn't had to wait so long, it prob wouldn't have filled up again. Ha ha.

Anyways, everything looks great. We saw the little heartbeat! The size of the baby was telling us my due date is Oct. 12th. But the doctor decided he's going to do one more ultrasound in two weeks to get a little more accurate. Yay! Can't wait lol

HCG Levels

Well I received a call from the nurse not long after getting to work this morning. She said my levels were going up like they are supposed to, which suggested a healthy pregnancy. Thank you Jesus!

5 Weeks

Okay, so my little sweet pea sized baby looks like this! I've gone overboard and told just about everyone. It's so hard to keep a secret like that. Of course you get some of those looks like why are you telling people so soon or those comments that you are "barely" pregnant. Oh well.... I know my God will take care of us. We are still excited. Went to do blood work on Thursday and again today. I'm excited to see how my levels compare. Then next week is the first appointment. Can't wait!

Okay, you can say I'm crazy if you want to.... I know I'm only 4 weeks and 5 days along, but who can hold this exciting news in like that? I guess some people manage it. Not Me!! God is awesome! We have been trying for about a year and a half. We went to doctors, did tests, took meds; all to no avail. Then we decided enough was enough. We stopped all the procedures and medications and just took a break. My body started cooperating slowly. The first month we were really trying again, it happened! I feel like it was all in God's timing!
